A Unique Solution

The major glass processors use technology that is based on optical sorting.

     – This means they can only process glass larger than 3/8 inch

         in size,

     – Which is only about 40% to 50% of the glass in the recycling


     – The rest of the glass is low value aggregate or goes into the



In fact, of the 12 M tons of waste glass last year generated in the U.S., the USGA estimates that over 9M tons of that glass went to landfills.


The cost to landfill material continues to rise, and it's a losing prospect for waste collection and recycling companies.


Because they rely on optical sorting, the 2 largest glass processors (E-cullet and SMI) are struggling to move forward and have developed adversarial relationships with major recyclers.

Driving Factors

Glass accounts for about 25% of all materials by weight that is collected for recycling and that percentage is rising.


US Recycling is moving toward single stream collection which is increasing recycling rates across the country, however current recycling technology produces contaminated mixed glass as the result.


Our patented Technology diverts post consumer waste glass from the landfill and returns the glass to its natural mineral state—amorphous silica. This clean mineral can then be sold into industrial applications.


Unlike other processors, our technology IS NOT based solely on optical sorting by color and then sending to a furnace to be melted down.
